Starting a new message thread in Fortis Pulse is quick — pick who you want to talk to and begin. This guide covers starting a conversation as a client.

Step 1 — Start a new conversation
Go to Messages and click New Message. A picker opens showing your available contacts — your assigned advisory partners plus Pulse AI.
Select who you want to message, then click Start. Fortis Pulse finds (or creates) the conversation with that person and opens it, ready for you to type your first message.
📝 Note — One thread per contact Fortis Pulse keeps one thread per contact, so if you've messaged a partner before, starting a "new" conversation with them opens the existing thread rather than creating a duplicate.
💡 Tip — Pulse AI is in the list Pulse AI appears as a contact with an "(AI)" label. Selecting it starts (or resumes) a conversation with the AI — useful for quick questions about your data. Messaging the AI costs tokens.
