Pulse AI turns your submitted metrics into written insight — but it's natural to wonder what data it actually sees, where it goes, and whether it's safe. This guide explains how Pulse AI uses your data, plainly.

💡 Tip — Who can use this Relevant to all clients who use Pulse AI features.

Quick reference

Question Answer
What does it see? Your submitted metrics, scores, and flags
Where does it go? A secure AI gateway that generates the analysis
Is it shared publicly? No — only you and your advisory team see the output

What Pulse AI sees

When you trigger a Pulse AI feature (a pillar deep-dive, the Copilot chat, or the auto-advisory draft), the system assembles the relevant context from your account and sends it to the AI for analysis. That context typically includes:

  • The metrics you submitted for the period.
  • Your computed scores and diagnostic flags.
  • The framework details (pillar definitions, weights, benchmarks).
  • For the Copilot chat, the recent conversation history for context.

It does not include unrelated data — Pulse AI only gets what's needed to answer the specific question or generate the specific analysis you asked for.

Where the data goes

The data is sent to a secured AI gateway (a language model service) that generates the written analysis and returns it to Fortis Pulse. The gateway processes the request and returns the output; the analysis is then stored in your account and shown to you (and your advisory team).

Who sees the output

The AI's output is not public. It's stored in your account and visible only to:

  • You (the client), once published.
  • Your assigned advisory partners, who review and can edit it before publishing on paid plans.

📝 Note — The AI is an assistant, not an oracle Pulse AI's analysis is grounded in your real data, but it's still AI-generated narrative. Your advisory partner reviews and shapes it before you see it (on paid plans), and you should always read it as informed input, not as a substitute for professional judgment. The platform disclaimer in the footer applies to all AI-produced content.

💡 Tip — You control when AI runs Pulse AI only runs when you or your partner trigger it (or automatically, once, when you first submit a period). It doesn't continuously monitor or analyze your account in the background.
